about us
We are a community-led, not-for-profit organisation established to support individuals and families across Greater Manchester.

Our Purpose
Our purpose is to strengthen community life by:
• Promoting mental and emotional wellbeing
• Encouraging inclusion and participation across diverse communities
• Reducing social isolation and loneliness
• Supporting positive relationships between individuals, families, and wider society
We do this through community-based activities, events, workshops, and support initiatives that are open, accessible, and focused on public benefit.
What we do
Our work includes:
• Community wellbeing activities and peer support
• Cultural and social events that bring people together
• Educational and awareness sessions
• Family-focused and community engagement initiatives
All our activities are designed to be inclusive, respectful, and responsive to local community needs.
We support individuals and families within Greater Manchester, particularly those who may experience social isolation or barriers to participation. While some activities may focus on specific community needs, our work is delivered for the wider public benefit.
How we operate
M’Mbondo Manchester is overseen by a board of trustees who are responsible for governance, safeguarding, and ensuring that all activities further our charitable purposes.
We work in partnership with local organisations and use community venues to deliver our activities.
Our Values
We are guided by the following values:
• Inclusion – everyone is welcome and respected
• Wellbeing – supporting healthier, happier communities
• Community – building trust, connection, and cooperation
• Integrity – acting transparently and responsibly
